A LionsBot engineer working on a robot on the Singapore assembly floor

Start your career at LionsBot.

LionsBot designs and engineers autonomous cleaning robots in Singapore. More than 6,000 of them are working in airports, hospitals, malls and warehouses across more than 40 countries, and the next generation is being drawn, built and tested here.

The work

Small enough to see your own work in the robot.

Robotics is a field where most people never meet the thing they built. Here our robots ship, go out to sites, and send back what happened. That shortens the distance between a decision you make and the evidence that it was right.

  • 01

    Work close to the product

Every role sits close to the product. Nobody here is two teams away from the thing being made, and there is no version of this job where your work disappears into a queue.

  • 02

    Room to grow into

We would rather give someone already here more to do than bring in someone new above them. Roles tend to get wider over time, which means being given work you have not done before.

  • 03

    Lead earlier than you expect

New teams form as the company grows, and they are led by people who were already doing the work. If you can take on more, you will be asked to, sooner than you would be elsewhere.

Where the work happens

Designed and engineered in one place.

Design, engineering and testing all sit under one roof in Singapore. In practice that means the person who drew a part can walk to the bench where it is being tested, watch it fail, and change it that afternoon. Decisions do not have to cross a time zone to get made.

  • Mechanical, electrical, perception and software on the same site
  • Prototypes tested on real floors, not only in simulation
  • Field data from deployed fleets comes back to the team that built them

Life here

Turn ideas into real products.

Who we hire

We want engineers.

Autonomous cleaning is one of the few robotics categories that is already commercial rather than experimental. The machines run overnight on real sites, and what they got wrong comes back the next morning. If you would rather your work went into the world than into a research paper, that is the job.

Engineers

Titles our engineers hold today

  • Robotics Engineer
  • Robotics Engineer, Mechatronics
  • Perception Engineer

Not an engineer?

A robot that nobody can buy, deploy or support is a prototype. Building the company around our robots takes as many people as building them does, and those roles go on the same job board.

Openings change often, so the live list is on the job board rather than on this page.

What it is like working at LionsBot.

Robotics Engineer, Mechatronics

LionsBot is a place that drives innovation and challenges conventional processes. There is a razor-sharp focus on developing life-changing products for the world, starting with cleaning robots. The young leaders, engineers and designers are given a great amount of autonomy in their fields and we've all faced unique challenges and difficulties at every facet of our work.

Perception Engineer

Being a part of the LionsBot journey from the beginning has helped me grow into the shoes of a technically grounded leader of futuristic innovation. The strong focus on being at the frontline of robotic development that the company holds has kept my starry-eyed passion for robotics alive, and helped me actualise my vision of the future.

Robotics Engineer

Working at LionsBot has been an extremely enriching experience that has pushed me past my comfort zone and helped me grow in all aspects, from leadership to technical expertise. The focus on being technological innovators makes for an extremely conducive environment for learning. The time spent here has allowed me to explore the latest innovations in the field and also provides the satisfaction of seeing my work deployed into the real world.

Internships

Interns are given real work, not someone to follow.

LionsBot trusts its engineers to take charge in designing major components of its robots and supports them in experimenting to find the most cost-effective and reliable design solutions. This level of ownership and expectation of excellence are extended to the interns at LionsBot as well. My internship at LionsBot has given me many opportunities to further develop my skills in prototyping and optimizing the manufacturability of my designs.

Sze JiaIntern, SUTD

Working at LionsBot has instilled the belief that innovation has no bounds, and any idea can be made a reality. These 10 months here has been an exceptional experience, allowing me to grow as a person while acquiring practical skills. Being given the privilege to assist on many different projects, has solidified my goal of becoming a mechanical engineer. Not just any engineer, but the kind that challenges ideas, and creates technology which can change the world.

Five steps, and we tell you where you stand.

  1. 01

    Apply on the job board

Pick the role and send a CV. A portfolio, repository or project write-up helps more than a cover letter does.

  2. 02

    Talent acquisition screening

Talent acquisition calls you to go through your experience and what you are looking for, and to check the role is a fit on both sides before it goes further. It is also when you can ask what the job actually involves.

  3. 03

    Meet the hiring manager

A conversation with the person who would lead your team, about what you have built and what you want to build next.

  4. 04

    Assessment round

Work through a problem close to the one the role actually solves, with the team you would be joining.

  5. 05

    Final interview, then an offer

A last conversation with the head of department. If it is a good fit on both sides, an offer follows.

This is the general process. Some roles add a step or combine two.

See what is open right now.

Roles are posted and closed as teams grow, so the board is the only place that is always current. If nothing fits today, it is worth checking back.
