The challenge and the approach

The challenge

A terminal never shuts, so the floor has to be cleaned around whoever is still in the building. Night shifts were expensive and hard to staff, and 15,000 m² of departure floor had to be covered whether or not the shift was at full strength. The operator also had to be able to show the airport authority what had been cleaned, and when.

The approach

R5 scrubbers run the departure terminals overnight on saved routes, with nobody standing beside them. The R5 scrubs and dries in the same pass, so it leaves a dry floor rather than a wet one behind a sign, and every run writes its own coverage record to LionsCloud.

The challenge

A mid-range hotel of 615 rooms beside a nature reserve, with enough arrivals each day that corridors and public areas need attention through the day rather than in one overnight pass. Standards had to hold across many floors without the cleaning itself becoming something a guest notices.

The approach

Housekeeping scheduled an R3 Vac to run the corridors and public floors at intervals across the day. The robot took the open floor. The same team kept the guest rooms and the detail work, which is where their time is worth most.

The challenge

Printing puts paper dust and debris onto the floor continuously, and here the floor runs to around 25,500 m² across several storeys. Cleaning had to happen without interrupting print runs, and without bringing a large machine close to presses and finishing equipment.

The approach

An R3 Scrub Pro was deployed on the production floor and circulation aisles. It maps the site with LiDAR and holds its route, and its compact footprint lets it scrub between and alongside fixed equipment where a ride-on machine has no room to work.

The challenge and the approach

The challenge

A six-storey building of 10,000 m² carrying heavy foot traffic on a timetable that leaves narrow windows for floor care. Sweeping and vacuuming that area by hand took hours the cleaning team needed elsewhere, and it had to happen without cutting across teaching.

The approach

An R3 Vac sweeps and vacuums the teaching and circulation floors on a set schedule. It is small enough to work under standard desks and between furniture, and every run reports back to LionsCloud, so the facilities team can see what was covered and when.
